Chelsea 4-1 Cardiff City

Derby County 1-2Birmingham City

Championship team Derby County took the lead against Premiership outfit with Jay McEveley scoring ten minutes into the second half. Scott Dann then equalised for Birmingham, before a last minute goal from defender Liam Ridgewell ensured Birmingham went through to the next round.

Manchester City 1-1 Stoke City

Big spending Man City was held to a 1-1 draw against Stoke who knocked out Arsenal in the previous round. Shaun Wright-Phillips gave Man City the lead early on, only for Ricardo Fuller to score in the second half forcing a replay at the Britannia Stadium.


Reading 2-2 West Bromwich Albion

What is a championship fixture in the FA cup ended up being a draw and forcing a replay. Reading took the lead after Kebe scored within the first minute. West Brom brought one back with Koren scoring in the 18th minute. Simon Church restored Reading’s lead late on in the 73rd minute only for Joe Mattock to earn his side a draw in the 87th minute. Reading and West Brom also had a man sent off each with Long for Reading and substitute Mulunbu for West Brom.

Southampton 1-4 Portsmouth

Portsmouth taken the lead with Owusu-Abeyie before Rickie Labert equalising for Southampton. Portsmouth then ensuring the victory with goals from Dindane, Belhaj and O’Hara.
