Portsmouth Football Club has today begun the process of entering administration, and is all set to be announced on Friday. Portsmouth who will be the first Premier League Club to enter administration will be docked nine points due to the Premier League rules. This will then leave them 17 points from safety and are likely to be relegated.

Portsmouth had been hopeful of avoiding this as they were in talk with different potential buyers throughout the week, but, unfortunately for the club, its fans and everyone else involved talks with potential buyers failed and now administration is looming.
