Cardiff City got a crucial win at Selhurst Park as their play-off push continues and are now 4th and 5 points from 7th. Crystal Palace on the other hand suffer their 3rd defeat in 4 games and are now in the relegation zone 4 points from safety.
Cardiff City took the lead after 4 minutes when Wittingham’s corner was flicked on by McPhail which fell to Gyepes who guided the ball into the goal via the post.
Crystal Palace did fight back after the goal with them claiming for a penalty a minute after Cardiff scored, and in the 18th minute hitting the bar from a Clint Hill header.
Palace drew level in the second half as Clint Hill got a goal after hitting the post in the first half. It was Ambrose who crossed in from a corner and Clint Hill rose high at the near post to head the hosts level.
It didn’t take long before Cardiff were back in the lead as Chris Burke got the Welsh side the winner 9 minutes after Palace had scored the equaliser. Kennedy’s free kick was headed down to Burke by Quinn, and Burke hit the ball past the keeper with a half volley.
