Today was the first leg of one of the semi-finals in the race to earn a place in the championship play-off final, with the possibility of getting promoted to the premiership, promotion could earn a club around £90m.
Blackpool entertained Nottingham Forest, with Blackpool getting the upper hand in a 2-1 victory.
Forest opened the scoring with an amazing goal from Cohen. The ball was passed to the midfielder, and he hit the ball across goal from outside the box with the outside of his foot. The ball curling nicely into the top corner.
Blackpool bounced back though when a low cross was played into the box for Southern to place the ball past Lee Camp. Forest had chances to take the lead again but Blackstock headed the ball against the bar and Cairney clearing off the line twice.
It was Charlie Adam who gave Blackpool the lead though after James Perch brought down DJ Campbell in the box. The midfielder getting his 18th goal of the season.
