Fabio Capello has announced his 30 man England squad with some surprising selection.
Uncapped players Michael Dawson of Tottenham and Adam Johnson of Manchester City have been selected along with Tom Huddlestone. Another surprise is that Jamie Carragher is named in the 30 man squad along with injured duo Ledley King and Gareth Barry.
Capello now has 3 weeks to look at his squad and reduce the squad down to 23 before England leave for the World Cup in South Africa.
Some may be surprised that Bobby Zamora wasn’t included in the 30 man squad, but, Capello has announced that when he spoke to the Fulham striker he said that he has an achilles problem and isn’t able to train every day and therefore can’t play.
