The Football Association and Fabio Capello are due to meet on Monday for talks over the national team manager, which will look to see Capello commit his future to the England team.
There have been increasing speculation that Inter Milan are very much interested in having Fabio Capello as their next manager after the departure of Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid. Although the contract that Capello signed doesn’t expire until 2012, it is believed that there is a clause in his contract saying that he can leave at the end of the World Cup. Capello will meet with Sir David Richards and an outcome should be revealed within 48 hours.
Capello was keen to end speculation and said the following after England’s poor win over Japan “I always say the same things. My name is always in the newspapers. My name has been on the radio but I can’t say anything about it. I have not spoken with anyone from Inter Milan. I spoke with the first chairman [Lord Triesman]. Now I wait to speak to the other one. I need to speak with the new chairman of Club England, Sir David Richards.”
