Although Cameroon had already missed out on qualifying to the knockout stages, and the Dutch looked set to qualify after winning their previous two matches. The Dutch made sure that they kept their 100% record up as they beat Cameroon 2-1.
The other match in Group E had a lot riding on it. Whoever won the match would finish second in the group and qualify for the knockout stages. Japan managed to overcome the Danes as they cruised past them 3-1 to progress to the next round.
