Top Premier League clubs are now beginning to inform their fans that they will not be allowed to bring the vuvuzela into their stadiums this season.
Tottenham Hotspur were the first club to ban the vuvuzela and soon after other clubs started to follow suit including Arsenal, Birmingham City, Everton, Fulham and West Ham United. Some Football League clubs have also banned the vuvuzela from their stadiums.
The vuvuzela was huge in South Africa during the 2010 World Cup with many stars, managers and pundits saying that the vuvuzela had spoiled the potential atmosphere inside the stadium. There were even discussions between the World Cup organiser from South Africa and FIFA regarding the vuvuzela and whether or not they should be banned mid way through the tournament.
With the Football League beginning on the weekend of August 7th it is expected that more clubs will ban the vuvuzela before the season begins, while most Premier League clubs are expected to ban the vuvuzela.
