Cardiff City were brought back to reality with a bump in the week after signing Craig Bellamy as League One Peterborough came from behind at London Road.
The Welsh side took the lead through striker Jay Bothroyd on the half hour after good work from loanee Jason Koumas had set him up.
However despite holding on to their lead until the last 15 minutes, Peterborough kept intact their 26-year home unbeaten run against the Bluebirds with the equaliser from Craig Mackail-Smith with a driving shot after being teed up by George Boyd.
And the provider turned match-winner with two minutes remaining with a curling shot from 20-yards.
