Chelsea maintained their winning streak as they beat Stoke City 2-0.

Chelsea very nearly took an early lead as they were awarded a penalty but Frank Lampard saw his penalty saved by Stoke goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen.

It wasn’t long though before Chelsea had the lead when Malouda latched onto John Terry’s through pass to get the opening goal.

Stoke came close to getting an equaliser soon after as Glenn Whelan but his 25 yard strike thumped the crossbar.

Chelsea went up a gear and got the second goal in the second half through a spot kick. Thomas Sorensen bringing down Anelka in the box with Drogba scoring the penalty.
