Jussi Jaaskelainen helped build a platform for Bolton’s win in London by making crucial saves which denied West Ham anything from the game.

The Finn was in inspired form to deny a Carlton Cole penalty, Kieron Dyer and Cole for a second time from open play to keep Bolton in the game, from which they built their win.

Matthew Upson gifted the Trotters the lead with an own goal before Johan Elmander powered a header home from a Chung-Yong Lee cross.

The Hammers got back into the game when Mark Noble scored a penalty late on by Elmander’s second of the game killed off the home side and ensured the points returned to Bolton.
