A neat finish from Sylvain Ebanks-Blake earned Wolves a well-deserved share of the spoils at home against Everton.
But it was the visitors who dominated the early exchanges and the first half and their reward came when Tim Cahill turned and shot expertly following a Mikel Arteta free-kick just before the break.
Wolves though came out firing after the interval despite the fact that they could have been out of sight of their visitors had Everton and Jermaine Beckford in particular taken their chances.
And they were made to rue those chances when Ebanks-Blake earned the home side a point with a tidy finish with 15 minutes left of the game.
Everton pushed for a winner late on – bringing on Leon Osman and Marouane Fellaini – but a header from Beckford’s replacement Louis Saha which landed on the roof of the net was the best they had to show for their efforts.
