England ease past oponents Bulgaria as they win 4-0 with Jermain Defore scoring a hat-trick. Some bad news for England though as Michael Dawson came off injured in the second half with a knee injury, and Defoe also brought off after he injured himself as he scored his third goal.
England fans didnt have to wait long before they were celebrating again after a dissapointing World Cup campaign as England opened the scoing before 3 minutes. Ashley Cole with the pass and Tottenham striker Jermain Defore crashing the ball into the back of the net.
Although Joe Hart didn’t have much to do throughout the game, when he was needed the Manchester City goalkeeper showed Fabio Capello that he may have made the wrong choice at the World Cup as he pulled off some fantastic saves to ensure England kept a clean sheet.
Jermain Defore added a second goal after some superb football from England with Wayne Rooney playing Defoe through on goal to hit the ball past the keeper and into the back of the net.
Manchester City winger Adam Johnson was brought on for Arsenal’s Theo Walcott and it didn’t take him to make his impact as he went close with a shot going just wide, and minutes later he cut inside and smashed the ball past the keeper, who should have done better.
England made it 4-0 with minutes to go before full-time as Jermain Defoe was played through on goal yet again, and slotted the ball through the advancing goalkeepers legs.
